FUNDS

SOSVA’s primary sources of funding are Government funds. In addition, we also receive some donations from private donors.

Government Funding for the Last Year as Mother NGO.

We got grants from Punjab Government for the year 2020-21 as under:    

  1. RCH Department of Health & Family Welfare Rs. 63 lakh.
  2. Women & Child Development and Drug De-Addiction Programmes. The Department of Social Security Women & Child Development, Punjab 187.50 lakhs.

We have got approval out of budget grant for  the year 2021-22 as per detail below:

  1. RCH Department of Health & Family Welfare Rs. 50 lakh.
  2. Women & Child Development and Drug De-Addiction Programmes. The Department of Social Security Women & Child Development, Punjab 125 lakhs.

No grants were, however, released.

Funding for the Year 2021-22 as NGO:

 Punjab State AIDS Control Society: The Society has sanctioned the following two projects at Phagwara, Distt Kapurthala:

  1. A composite targeted intervention project for commercial sex workers (CSW) and males having sex with males (MSM) with a grant of Rs. 1958000/-
  2. Project for injecting drug users (IDUs) with a grant of Rs. 20,68,601/-

Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society: The Society has sanctioned a Targeted Intervention Project for injecting drug users (IDUs) as per following details:-

  1. IDU TI Projects: Rs. 29,42,850/-
  2. (i) OST Centre at sector 56, Chandigarh: Rs.3,02,300/-

(ii) OST Centre at village Dadu Majra, Chandigarh: Rs.3,02,300/-

 

Grant by Governor of Punjab: Governor of Punjab gave a grant of Rs. 5 lacs during 2021-22 for upgrading computer and infrastructure in SOSVA.

Private Funding: Funds received from private donors are utilized for projects specified by them.

  1. In 2016-17 we received Rs. 3,60,600/- funds from M/s Concentrix for imparting training in computer applications.
  2. In 2016-17 State Bank of India donated Rs. 8,79,092/- for purchase of a car.
  3. In 2021-22 State Bank of India donated Rs 15 Lacs for purchase of a car
